Editorial Policy
This page explains how we research and write content, how we decide what products to review, and how affiliate relationships are handled — so you can evaluate our content with full context.
How we research articles
Educational content on weight loss, nutrition, and habits is based on peer-reviewed research where available, and guidance from established health bodies such as the NIH, CDC, and major nutrition science publications. We aim to describe evidence accurately, including its limitations, rather than overstating certainty.
How we select products to review
We do not review every product available in an affiliate network. Before publishing a review, we research the product's disclosed ingredients, the evidence behind them, manufacturing transparency, and how it compares to alternatives. We decline to review products that rely on undisclosed proprietary blends with no way to verify individual ingredient doses, or that make claims clearly unsupported by evidence.
How affiliate relationships work
Some reviews and articles contain affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This commission does not determine whether we recommend a product, and it does not change the content of our evaluation. Where a product has real limitations, we say so, even on pages that also contain an affiliate link for that product.
What we don't do
- We don't publish fabricated first-person testimonials or claim to have personally tested a product when we haven't
- We don't guarantee specific weight-loss outcomes
- We don't use countdown timers, fake scarcity, or other manipulative urgency tactics
- We don't accept payment in exchange for a specific rating or positive coverage
Updates and corrections
Articles are reviewed periodically and updated when new research or product information becomes available. Each article displays a "last updated" date. If you notice an error or outdated claim, please let us know — we take corrections seriously.
